IRAN - 25 June 2009 : Human rights lawyer Mohammad Mostafaei best known for his campaigning against the execution in Iran arrested.
TUNISIA - 23 June 2009 : Lawyers Radhia Nasraoui, Raouf Ayadi and Abdelwahab Maatar, beaten and subjected to a full body and luggage search on their return to the country.
CHINA – 17 June 2009 - Zheng Enchong beaten, stripped by police during a nine-hour detention .
VIETNAM - 13 June 2009 : Human rights lawyer Le Cong Dinh was arrested at his office in Ho Chi Minh City.
MEXICO - 5 June 2009 : lawyers Rommel Cain Chacan Pale Matilde Pérez Romero, who work for a local human rights organization received a telephone death threat.

MALAYSIA - 7 May 2009 : Lawyers from the Kuala Lumpur Legal Aid Centre — Fadiah Nadwa Fikri, Murnie Hidayah Anuar, Puspawati Rosman, Ravinder Singh Dhalilwal and Syuhaini Safwan — arrested after denied access to detainees by the police.
PAKISTAN – 9 April 2009 : Kachkol Ali, Balochi lawyer, in life danger, after he witnessed the abduction of three clients, shortly before they were found murdered in Balochistan province. 
SYRIA – 2 April 2009: Judicial harassment against Mr. Khalil Maatuq, an active lawyer defending prisoners of conscience and expression.
GUINEA-BISSAU - 1st April 2009 : Luís Vaz Martins, lawyer and president of the Human Rights League of Guinea-Bissau received threats from an armed individual. 
COLOMBIA - 26 March 2009 : New threats against Ms. Irene López and Ms. Claudia Erazo, attorney for Corporación Jurídica Yira Castro (CJYC). 
KENYA - 5 March 2009 : Assassination of Oscar Kamau Kingara , a lawyer and Chairman of Oscar Foundation Free Legal Aid Clinic Kenya (OFFLACK).

GUINEA - 15 February 2009 : Joachim Bilimou, an attorney in the country's appeals court,beaten by soldiers for failing to yield in traffic. 
THAILANDE - 8 February 2009 : Search on offices of the Working Group on Justice and Peace (WGJP) headed up by Angkhana Neelaphaijit, wife of human rights lawyer Somchai Neelaphaijit, disappeared on 12 March 2004 . 
INDIA - 30th January 2009: Lawyer Babar Jan Qadri severely thrashed in the varsity campus by the police personnel of the Kashmir University (KU).
SRI LANKA- 27 January 2009 : The office of Amitha Ariyaratne, Human rights lawyer burnt down. 
RUSSIA - 19 January 2009 : Stanislav Markelov, Russian Lawyer In Prominent Chechnya Cases Shot Dead
