Mr. Wang has been working in the judicial system for over thirty years. He was a former deputy head of the Intermediate People's Court of Agricultural, in the Seventh Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Army Corps.

Wang Zhansuo and Wang Xia are currently being held at the Huangdao District Detention Center (also known as Liuhuabo Detention Center). Wang Zhansuo is in cell No. 13 and Wang Xia is in cell No. 18. As they have already been illegally detained for over 30 days, the Xuejiadao Police Station Preliminary Hearing Section is applying for an arrest warrant from the Huangdao District Procuratorate so that they can extend the detention time.

The arrest was ordered by a Qingdao City national security agent, and planned and executed by the director of the Qingdao Economic Development Zone Public Security Sub-bureau. The Huangdao District Judicial Bureau has put pressure on local attorneys, not allowing anyone to defend Wang.
